What a piece of garbage, they are radical far left activists and shill for the Government that funds them.

Love The Spinoff and am a financial supporter. Text on both the app and web site regularly jump around, presumably when widgets update, causing me to loose my place - multiple times during a long read. Very frustrating. Hoping this gets addressed soon.

5 attempts so far to download. With old app installed, then uninstalled. No luck. My internet is fine.

I'm sorry to say that I find the new format too busy and 'noisy'. I will continue with the app on my phone, but will continue to read on the website as a matter of course, and preference. I had hoped perhaps the new app would support landscape format on my tablet - but sadly, No. Very disappointing.

Is this just a link to the website? Argh. Why bother. Bring back the RSS feed please

Redesigned app is awesome

Awful, awful, awful. I was a daily reader of the Spinoff site but the dogs breakfast appearance of this new version just puts me right off. It looks like the jumble you get with Newsroom or Stuff. RNZ shows you how it should be done. What a shame.

Had some trouble updating where it seemed like the old app became non-functional and only promoted the new app before the update to the new app had actually been published 😬 Now that the update is actually live, however, the app is usable again and I'm really impressed with the new version — a huge improvement, thank you! Still wish it caught web links, though!!

Ew, colors are horrible! It looks like a 1980s video game right after msdos went away go back to old app please.
